The time has come to show the world who Big Phil is and set new levels in the rap game. Big Phil is re-writing the meaning of hip-hop.   

Born Philip Overton, Jr. on June 17, 1980 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was raised by his mother Iris, a single parent. Big Phil was little acquainted with his father, Philip Sr. until his 20^th year. Tragedy struck when three months after reconciling with his only child, Phil Sr. passed away.

Music is in Big Phil’s blood; his grandfather, George Overton was a prominent jazz musician in Indiana through the 1940’s and 50’s. Big Phil has dedicated the last 14-plus years of his life immersing himself in hip-hop. His fresh take has generated much interest from several local record companies and local fans of hip-hop. He recently co-founded Rhyme Life Music, LLC to ensure his music would be produced the way he intended it to be. The time is ripe to amplify the presence of this soon-to-be giant in the hip-hop industry.
